Line dance class disclaimer

Last updated: 20 October 2026

By taking part in a Boots 'N' Boogie™ class, workshop, social, or subscriber video lesson, you acknowledge and agree to the following. On the website, ticking the box and typing your name is your signature. A paper signature line is not used.

Assumption of risk

Line dancing, like any physical activity, carries a risk of injury. You can slip, fall, or strain a muscle, a joint, or your back. You take part because you want to, and you accept those ordinary risks.

Health and fitness

You confirm that you are physically able to take part. Tell the teacher about any medical condition, allergy, or limitation before the class. On the injury form, write what they need to know, or write None. Stop and tell them if you feel pain, dizzy, or unwell. If you are unsure, ask your doctor before you join.

Personal responsibility

Dance within your own ability. Follow the teacher's instructions and the safety guidance on the night. Wear footwear and clothing you can move in. Book the class level and the HonkyTonk you are registered for.

Liability

Boots 'N' Boogie™, the teachers, and the venue owners are not responsible for loss of or damage to your personal property, except where the law says otherwise. Nothing in this disclaimer removes our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Code of conduct

We aim to keep a fun, inclusive, and respectful room. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may mean you are asked to leave the class.

Photography and video

The yes or no on the injury form is your choice about photos or video for promotional use, including social media. That choice replaces the old handwritten "I do / I do not". You can change it later in Dancer Studio settings. Community chat and video lessons are separate, and both need an active subscription.

Taking part means you have read this disclaimer and agree to it. Thank you for dancing responsibly and helping us keep everyone safe.
